YuggothA dark planet at the rim of the solar system [HPL Whisperer (online text)]. The Outer Ones The Outer Ones came to earth from Yuggoth [HPL Whisperer]. Fungi sprout in Yuggoth; this is presumably a reference to the fungoid Outer Ones [Fungi (online text) XIV]. When Cthulhu returns, the winged Outer Ones from Yuggoth will sweep down from the void. [RB Strange] The Planet Pluto Henry Akeley's impersonator said that Yuggoth is beyond Neptune, and is the ninth planet from the sun. The fake Akeley hinted that the Outer Ones would soon use their mental influence to cause humans to discover Yuggoth. Later, Armitage felt certain that that the newly-discovered planet Pluto was the same as Yuggoth, and that the Outer Ones had indeed inspired the discovery. [HPL Whisperer] Ancient Cities There are mighty cities on Yuggoth, with great tiers of terraced towers built of black stone, and cyclopean bridges over black rivers of pitch. The bridges at least, and perhaps others of the structures, were built by a forgotten elder race that became extinct before the arrival of the Outer Ones. [HPL Whisperer] Yuggoth is lead-grey, with cities under the warm deep sea [Museum (online text)]. Primal Deities The Outer Ones of Yuggoth worship Yog-Sothoth as the Beyond-One [HPL Gates (online text)]. Nyarlathotep is the bringer of strange joy to Yuggoth through the void [Whisperer]. Cxaxukluth remains on Yuggoth, but its descendants left to escape Cxaxukluth's cannibalistic tendencies. [CAS Pnom] Seekers of Yuggoth are sometimes waylaid and subjected to weird rites by servants of Nyaghoggua [RAL Nyaghoggua (online text)]. Artifacts The Shining Trapezohedron was fashioned on Yuggoth before the Outer Ones brought it to earth [HPL Haunter (online text)]. Even on Yuggoth, the star-stones of Mnar have power against the minions of the Great Old Ones (3) [AWD Curwen, Lurker]. Connections with Earthlings Henry Akeley feared that the Outer Ones planned to take him to Yuggoth and beyond. Akeley's impersonator said that he was planning to visit Yuggoth. Albert Wilmarth felt that the fake Akeley gloated excessively over Yuggoth and its black secrets. The fake Akeley intended to persuade Albert Wilmarth to go to Yuggoth with him. [HPL Whisperer] Marceline Bedard threatened to call up what lies hidden in Yuggoth. [HPL Medusa (online text)] Shortly before his death, Robert Blake said that he remembered Yuggoth [HPL Haunter]. Randolph Carter (in the body of Zkauba) saw Yuggoth on the rim as he entered our solar system. [Gates (online text)] Georg Reuter Fischer heard voices mention the tiered towers of Yuggoth [FL Terror2]. Franz, 21st Baron Kralitz, learned of the fungoid, inhuman beings that dwell on far cold Yuggoth [HK Kralitz (online text)] The Fungi from Yuggoth narrator had a dream or vision of being eaten by alien beings (presumably Outer Ones) on Yuggoth [HPL Fungi (online text) IV]. Upton Gardner was taken to Yuggoth by Nyarlathotep [AWD Dweller]. Edgar Gordon dreamed of Yuggoth before he knew of its existence in legend. [RB Demon] John Grimlan referred to the noxious winds that blow from Yuggoth. [REH Dig (online text)] Avis Long heard or perhaps uttered the phrase "ulnagr Yuggoth Farnomi ilyaa..." Avis thought that Yuggoth was only a symbol, or perhaps that it was real and that only perception was limited. Ward Phillips wrote of the fungi from Yuggoth in his stories [AWD Lamp (online text)]. Jeremy Strange referred to darkness that was "like the sun over Yuggoth" [RB Tomb (online text)]. Amos Tuttle's papers mentioned Yuggoth. Paul Tuttle spoke of the Fungi from Yuggoth. [AWD Hastur]. |
