Bran Mak Morn

The greatest king of the Picts. He was of the blood of Brule the Spear-slayer, the Pictish friend of King Kull of Valusia who reigned thousands of years ago before. Bran gathered the broken lines of the Pictish tribes into a single mighty nation, drove forth the Norseman and Briton and shattered the legions of Rome, and became king of all Caledon. After Bran fell in battle, the nation fell apart. The Dark Man, a statue of Bran, became a figure of worship to the surviving Picts. [REH Dark (online text)]

Henry Akeley's imposter told Albert Wilmarth about Bran. [HPL Whisperer (online text)]

Boys heard the name Bran chanted while in a tunnel leading from Elmer Harrod's house. [JVS Dead]

Aka: Dark Man (2); Morni. See: Bran cult.
