XIn Narthos valley. HPL Iranon (online text) 114. A man from another world; apparently that world, or some portion of it, was called Balrahar. He was a slender, young-looking man of medium height, unruly golden hair, a "magnificent" forehead, and a pair of deep clear eyes. He wore a long tunic and sandals. His ring was stolen by Lord Donal O'Dare of Ireland. A "moon" later, he went for a walk in a garden, and suddenly was pursued by Begog. He fled and somehow fell into our world, and then burst in through the window of John O'Dare's home, where he recognized his ring. Shortly after, Xathra was terrified when Begog arrived at the window. The Door of the World opened and apparently transported John O'Dare, and presumably Xathra, to an unearthly landscape, which might or might not be Balrahar. [REH Door] San Xavier. He stole a gem from a demon in a cavern and took it to the court of Asshurbanipal, where it became known as the Fire of Asshurbanipal. He could do magic and forecast events while looking in the stone. When evil befell the kingdom, the king ordered Xuthltan to return the gem to the cavern, but he took it instead to the forbidden city Kara-Shehr. The king there seized Xuthltan to take the stone from him, and had Xuthltan tortured to death. |
