YhoundehAn elk-goddess of ancient Hyperborea. Her parent was the nebulous, androgynous elk Zyhumë. [CAS Pnom]. Yhoundeh's cult seems to have enforced a ruthless orthodoxy. Their high-priest Morghi, and his "ferocious and efficient underlings," attempted to arrest the wizard Eibon for his worship of Tsathogguah. Eibon feared that he would be subjected to "refinements and complicatures of torture" in the inquisitorial cells at their temple in Mhu Thulan. After Eibon successfully evaded capture, the religion of Yhoundeh declined. This was in the last century before the ice age. [CAS Door (online text)] According to Pnom, Nyarlathotep mated with Yhoundeh in the third cycle of her divinity [CAS Pnom]. Nothing is known of their offspring. Also spelled as: Y'houndeh, Houndeh.
