Atlach-Nacha

[CAS Seven (online text)]: A spider-god living beneath Mt. Voormithadreth in ancient Hyperborea. There he spends eternity weaving webs to bridge a bottomless gulf. The strands of his web are strong enough for a man to walk on.

Atlach-Nacha has a squat ebon body, big as a crouching man but with long spider-like members. Low down amid the several-jointed legs is a kind of face, with small, crafty eyes that are circled about with hair.

Atlach-Nacha rejected Ralibar Vooz, the sacrifice sent him by Tsathoggua, and instead sent the hapless Vooz on as a gift to Haon-Dor.

In modern times, Winfield Phillips read in old books about of Atlach-Nacha of the spider-shape. [AWD Lurker]
