Cone-Creatures

A race that peopled earth about a billion years ago. They belonged to no surviving, or scientifically known, line of terrestrial evolution. Their minds were displaced by the minds of the Great Race from the planet Yith about 600 million years ago. [HPL Time (online text)]

Other populations of cone creatures also exist on a dark star in Taurus [AWD Space] and on a planet in another universe [AWD Brotherhood]. Both groups are possessed by the Great Race.
